The new Hertfordshire Family Centre Service

From October 2018, you will start to see changes to support for children, young people and their families from pre-birth through to when a child reaches 19. The new Hertfordshire Family Centre Service will bring children’s centres, health visiting and school nursing to work together to provide a more joined up service.

We are very excited about the new service and wanted to let all our families know what is happening.

Family Centre Service across Hertfordshire:

Helping families get off to the best start in life Hertfordshire County Council is delighted to announce it will be providing a new Family Centre Service across Hertfordshire in 2018, bringing together Children’s Centres, Health Visiting and the School nursing service to deliver a shared ambition for families from pre-birth though to 19 years to have the best possible start in life and throughout childhood.

Following a successful tendering process, Hertfordshire County Council is delighted to announce that Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust has been awarded the contract for Health Visiting and School Nursing Service (Public Health Nursing, pre-birth – 19 years) and Barnardo’s Services Limited, One YMCA and Hertsmere Leisure have been awarded the Family Support Contracts (pre-birth to 11 years).

Childcare Choices: Childcare Choices website has gone live

The government website Childcare Choices, which brings together all the government childcare offers for the first time has gone live.This website allows parents to sign up for tax free childcare and check eligibility for 30 hours free childcare .
Parents can check their eligibility for 30 hours free childcare and will be able to receive an eligibility code through the system now.  https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

 

Equipment Offer: Equipment Consultation Poster

Have your say on Hertfordshire County Council’s proposal to introduce a new ‘Equipment Offer’ for children and young people with additional needs in Hertfordshire.
